More Flooring - Monday, October 22, 2007

Monday night we started installing the hardwood flooring in the dining room. After having completed the living room flooring, we knew how to start the flooring in the dining room so that it would go a bit quicker. It seemed to go a bit smoother this time, but maybe it only seemed like it was going smoother/quicker because it's a smaller room that doesn't look as daunting as the living room. It was Ryan, me, Mom & Dad helping us. Toon stopped by and Dad made her put a few nails in. If anything goes wrong with the floor in the dining room we can blame her...we have pictures as proof.

The ducting is also completely done now, and Norm the painter started painting around the trim upstairs. I didn't get any pictures of this since we wanted to get working right away, so I will be sure to take some pictures when we're there on Tuesday night, before we start working. Hopefully he'll have most of the upstairs painted. He told us that he would be done the painting by Thursday, so that Kris can go in on Friday to install the kitchen and mudroom flooring. Kris was also there Monday morning installing the rest of the shower (the curb and the membrane on the base of the shower), and as soon as Norm is done painting in there, Kris will start working on the tiles.
