I Hear There's Going to be a Baby! And Geoff & Rachel's Wedding

If you too, have heard this rumour, and decided that you'd check out our blog to confirm the rumour, then you've come to the right place.

Yes, Ryan and I are going to be parents. Baby Schultz is due to appear around January 23, 2011. So as of this post, I am 14 1/2 weeks pregnant.

One of the first things we thought about when we learned when we were due: what are the roads going to be like in Manitoba at the end of January? The first ACTUAL thing that Ryan thought: If the Packers are in the Superbowl on February 6th and Chelan goes into labour two weeks late, she's calling her parents for a lift.

We told my mom and dad on Father's Day, and Ryan's mom and grandma the day after. Everyone was pretty excited. We gave Geoff and Rachel a card for their wedding from their future neice or nephew and told them that they couldn't tell until after the 16th.

We told Ryan's brother and sister-in-law on the 17th (we wanted to wait until we heard the baby's heartbeat before we started to tell people). We told them by giving their youngest son (our nephew) this present for his birthday:

We started to tell the rest of the world at a surprise party that one of our friends threw for his wife's 30th birthday. I wore a shirt that said "baby mama". Some caught on, other's were confused. Apparently I should have put the date underneat it or something so it would have been more obvious. Oh well!

That's all the news that we have to share...That's basically all that's happened between Christmas 2009 and now.

OH, except that Geoff and Rachel got married on July 10th, and everything (to my knowledge) went well. Rachel looked georgous in her dress, and Geoff looked handsome. I'm proud to say that I made their flowers for them (fake ones - wait, people prefer the term "silk") and I think that they look good in the pictures. Not my pictures, but the photographer's pictures. Here are a few of the pictures that we took of their big day:
