Happy Thanksgiving!
It would have been a happy Thanksgiving if the house was done...lol. It was a pretty good Thanksgiving. Dale the Stucco-er called on Monday to talk about the colour that we had picked for the stucco. We thought we did really good by picking the stucco in good time...he called to tell me that the colour that we picked (yellow) was REALLY yellow. He gave me two houses to go and look at in Oakbank, so that we could decide. Stucco colours work like this: He gave us a booklet of colours, that each had numbers behind them. He told us to stay away from a 6P (meaning 6 jars of pigment for every 6 bags of mix) because the colour would run. He said anything in a 1P (1 jar of pigment for every 6 bags of mix) to 3P (i think you get it) is best. I called him on Friday and told him the colour that we wanted (which was a 3P). He called back on Monday and said that it was REALLY yellow.
After we had our Thanksgiving lunch, we drove into Oakbank to look at the two houses. We drove by the first one and though it was really yellow (this was the 3P), I liked it, but Ryan thought that it was a little much. We drove by the second one (the 1P), and Ryan liked it, but I didn't think it was yellow enough. We decided that we would get him to mix us a 2P. I called Dale and left a message telling him what we wanted.
This is the 3P (the picture doesn't actually show just how yellow it is...but I liked it either way):
This is the 1P (not yellow enough for me, but Ryan liked it. I think it's the shingles that make the house seem lighter):

The other thing that's funny about these two houses, is that they're exactly same, just opposites to each other.
