We moved into the house on Saturday, November 24th. We started at about 9:00 that morning, and had basically everything moved over by Noon. Then the fun began. Washing everything and trying to find a spot for everything. I knew it was going to take a long time, and it did. I finally finished putting everything away in the kitchen on November 30th. I'm not sure that I'm quite happy with where everything is, but it'll have to do for now. I haven't moved anything around since first picking a spot for things, except for the glasses. I have moved those around, and switched their spots with the plates. And since then I haven't changed anything. The upstairs is still a mess of boxes, and about the only room that's maybe half organized is the bedroom.
We've been sleeping at the house since the 24th, and it's been great. The geothermal heating wasn't hooked up until November 26th, but for the first two nights we had a construction heater heating the house, which was actually working well. We also didn't have an oven the first night, which sucked, because I had bought pizzas to cook for supper, for those who were still around at that point. We sent Simone and Ryan's mom to Simone's in-laws to cook the pizzas for us (they just live in Lorette). The move went smoothly, with no problems. Just before the move, we were wondering how we were going to move our fish (just one fish - A Fish With No Name). When it came to moving day, we didn't have to worry about moving him. He died before we had to worry about it. We think that he and Dexter might have had a pact when they heard we were moving, and the only one that went through with the pact was the fish. Although we were worried that Dexter was going to go through with it as well, because when people arrived to help us move, Dexter was nowhere to be found. We worried that he got outside through the open doors. He turned up later on that day, in the house, once everyone had left. We think that he was hiding behind the fireplace, where he used to hide when we first brought him home.
I have no pictures of the house as it is right now, but here are a few pictures of the move. They're not very good pictures either.
Curtis' truck got a little wet from the snow, and before he had a chance to cry, we handed him a hair dryer so that he could dry it before it left a mark...Actually, I think the tonneau (sp?) cover was frozen and he couldn't open it to put anything into the back...I told him that I thought it was convenient that he brought his truck over to help move, but couldn't open the cover..."Here's my truck you can use...oh wait, the back won't open? That's too bad!"

I'll try to take some pictures tonight of the house with all of our stuff in it as it is. The only room, as I said, that's basically organized is the kitchen. The livingroom isn't too bad.
Thanks to everyone who helped us move. It was nice to have so much help.
The boys had a good time when we said that they could destroy the chest freezer that wasn't working in the basement. As long as they brought it out of the basement, they were allowed to do whatever they wanted to it.
