Merry Christmas!!

Bing Crosby's "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" is playing in the background as I type this, and as I look out the window, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...there is not nearly enough snow on the ground for it to be Christmas time already. Very disappointing. It can hold off until after the weekend though...My Dad is going to go and get my Grandma from Carlyle, Saskatchewan, and it'd be good if they had clear skies when they're travelling. But after that, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

We were very excited to get an invitation to go and see Cade's Christmas Concert again this year, which was held on Tuesday. As Simone's facebook says, Cade was movin' & groovin'...more than anybody else. It was very cute!

Cade and Colton were dressed the same, and Cade was loving having his picture taken...:

...Until here...I'm not sure what happened here...I think Ryan's gotten that look on his face once or twice before too...is it me?

And introducing...DUDE LERM!! If you put all of the pictures together, you might get one good picture of him...He was a fast little guy!

I decided once again that Ryan and I don't have enough pictures of us together, and decided that I wanted to take one of us in front of our Christmas tree this year. Well, apparently, I have married Chandler Bing from Friends...Ryan cannot smile for a picture for the life of him. I don't care if it was 10:30 at night...Seriously:

We tried changing his shirt to see if that was doing it...But it only made it worse:

This is a bad one of both of us...

And this is the one that made the cut:

Though I think we should have just gone with this one:

Conceited, I know. HA!!

That's all for now...

Grey Cup Cookies!

I was bored on Sunday so I started to make sugar cookies and I used a stocking cookie cutter for Christmas...then I found a football cutter, and decided to make some football cookies for Grey Cup Sunday.

These Pictures are from November 21st?!?!

First of all, I can't BELIEVE that there is no snow. I'm not complaining at all, since I can still walk outside without freezing my arse off at lunch, but there'd better be some snow for Christmas...

Either way...these pictures were taken on Saturday at Bird's Hill Park. Amanda, Evelyn, Kristy, Sydney and I went for a walk around the park, and decided that, since it was Sydney's 6-month birthday, we would take some pictures of her...we just got a little carried away taking pictures of ourselves...

Sydney's just some girl I know...

And now for our pictures...

Happy Halloween!

This was our first halloween in the house that we were actually home (last year we went to Bill Cosby when he was in town). We had a whopping SIX kids. They started coming at 7:30, I think. The last bunch came at about 8:30...I thought that was late...though I can't remember what time we used to go out trick or treating when we were young...

I carved a pumpkin Saturday afternoon...But I couldn't find any stencils...then I had a bright idea...In honour of the big game that was going to be played on Sunday at 3:00 p.m., I carved THIS:

I didn't help them much on Sunday though...

Maricopa, Arizona in Pictures

Okay. HERE are some pictures from our trip to Arizona.

From the plane on the way down:

It was weird to see kids just walking to what appeared to be nowhere. We kept forgetting that it was the middle of the week and these kids were going to school (which happens to be on the other side of this hill.

One of the many "gated" communities in Maricopa. It would be really easy to get lost if you didn't know the area at all.

Going into Old Maricopa...A beautiful little place, if you can appreciate rustic/authentic buildings. I wasn't able to take many good pictures of Old Maricopa...we drove too fast through it. It's basically behind the trees.

More pictures from the area:

On the way to Casa Grande, which is just south-east of Maricopa. We went shopping here on our first day. They have some big box stores, kind of like an outlet mall, but not really...

This was in Casa Grande. I got a kick out of the name of this liquor store. Pinal Liquors. I think it would be a perfect name for a certain type of bar...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Coming back to Maricopa from Casa Grande:

We were trying to get a good group shot of us all, that started out too far away, then as we got closer, the pictures just got worse...Not so easy when you're in a pool and using a 10 second timer. The last one, we were all supposed to do something weird...apparently Dad tried, and I went all out.

More pictures from the pool:

Here is our first trip into Phoenix...it was interesting, to say the least. We went to Ikea, and then stopped at Savers, which is the American counterpart to Value Village.

These pictures were taken on our way to Canyon Lake and the Dolly Steamboat:

We don't have many pictures of us all together or all as couples, so we made up for it on this trip.

We got to the Dolly Steamboat pretty early, so we stopped in at the restaurant right beside it and Dad and Geoff had all-you-can-eat pickerel.

The Dolly Steamboat:

The boat took us around Canyon Lake and we got some pretty good shots:
