On Friday night, we loaded up the hardwood on the back of Dad's trailer and were going to take it to the house so that it could sit in there for a week before we installed it...but it rained, so we couldn't. We decided that we'd wait until Saturday morning to take it over, and hoped that the rain would stop by then.
Saturday morning came, and we hooked up the trailer to the truck and took the first load of hardwood over to the house. It wasn't raining, so we didn't have to tarp it to keep it dry.

When we got to the house, we started to unload the wood. On Friday night when we were loading up the wood, we put them into bundles and loaded them onto the trailer...Apparently we were trying to be heroes when we bundled the first couple, because they were so heavy...the first two were really big bundles...after that we got smarter and made smaller bundles so that they were easier to carry up the front stairs.

We got all of the wood into the house by noon.
There was no other work done in the house on Friday, except for some patching that was done by the painter, and some sanding that was done as well. It sucks to see the walls with the patching on them, because it seems like a big step back from when it was first primed.

There was one other thing done. Don the Geothermal Guy came by and cut the pipes that run behind the house off to the appropriate lengths and added ends to them. They won't be hooking the Geothermal unit up until the house is completely done...if they hook it up now, we would have to take the coils out and clean them thoroughly. It's just easier if we use the construction heaters and fans...less mess.
By the time we left the house to go for lunch, it started to rain. At least the rain held off until we were finished.
