It was missing one of the shades, so I managed to find 5 of a different kind of shade, for $1 each! Here is the same light below, with the other shades on them. I really like the look of it with the new shades...they're different than other things we've seen...Ryan thinks that they look like bee hives...So do I, but I don't really care...they're MY bee hives.
These are the lights that we're going to be putting in the livingroom, and in the hallway on the main floor:
These are the lights that are going over the vanities in the bathrooms on the main floor and the second floor:
These are the lights that are going on the garage and at the back of the house.
These are the lights that are going on the porch. They're this light shade and stuff, but it's on a pendant hanging from the ceiling of the porch, instead of what's shown here (they won't be hanging on the wall). There will also be two of these hanging above the island in the kitchen:
These are the lights that are going on the inside of the bathroom upstairs above the door, the outside of the bathroom upstairs above the door (to light up the catwalk), and on the stairway wall leading from the second floor to the main floor:
We agreed on all of the lights finally. Ryan said that he wanted to pick the light for the entryway, and I said that was fine. Last night (Tuesday night) while we were at Canadian Tire, I found the entry light for him...he said that he wanted some colour, but all we could find these days was white shades, or a light amber coloured shade. He saw it, and liked it, so we bought it. And this is it:
It's a Debbie Travis light, and it has the colour that he was looking for, and we had actually agreed on something like this when we were looking at Superlite Lighting on Logan...They wanted $130 for theirs, and we got this one for $99. So unless we find something else for the entryway, this is it.
We just have to now decide on ceiling lights for the bedrooms and for the room with the toilet (inside the bathroom we have another room for the toilet), and for the mudroom/laundry room ceilings. They're all likely going to be the same light. We know basically what we want, and we definitely know what we don't want; boobs. All of the flushmount ceiling lights look like boobs. Like these ones here:

Seriously, if you don't think "those are boobs" when you see those, there's something wrong with you...
We're looking for something more like this for the bedrooms and the mudroom/laundry room (most likely the first one):

For the toilet room and for the stairway wall leading to the basement we'll just be going with something like this:
And the only other light that we have to worry about is a track light over the tub in the upstairs bathroom...I like this, and Ryan agrees:
So those are the lights. Although, don't be surprised if you come to our house once it's complete and see something totally different...
The next decision is tile for the upstairs bathroom...oh joy.
