After work we returned some of the lights that we had bought to try out, and taking a look at some lights that I had seen at the Habitat ReStore on Archibald. Monica (a girl from work) and I went there at lunch and found 5 chandeliers that were in pretty good shape, all they needed was a new shade each...or so I thought. When Ryan and I went back later, we took a closer look, and some of them needed more parts. Only one was complete and only needed a shade. We also found the hardware for our kitchen drawers and bathroom drawers (the pulls) and got them for $1 each, and they were brand new. We left there and went to Rona to see what the prices of light shades were there, and saw that the hardware that we had just picked up were $5.19 each. We also found that the parts that the lights at the Habitat Store were missing weren't sold at Rona. We returned some lights there and decided that we wouldn't make it back in time before the refit store closed, so we went to Home Depot to look at their shades.
We ended up picking out some tiles at Home Depot that we're going to put in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower. We didn't get any closer with the lights however...they didn't have the parts we were looking for either. After we were done our running around we got to the house at about 8:00 and found that the guys were still there working. They had pretty much all of the insulation done, and just had the poly to finish.
