We left work early to go and meet Don Taras, the guy who will be installing our septic tank & field, as well as the geothermal heating system. When we got there at about 3:30, the framers were on their break, so it was pretty quiet. I'm assuming that they go into Lorette for coffee...I hope they don't go to the bar for a drink...lol. Hmmm...that would explain the framing mistake from the beginning of the build...

Anyway, we met with Don who had a few options for us as to where to put the septic field & tank. We talked with Murray the Framer, and found out that they are going to be building the deck/porch on Thursday, and that the trusses for the roof are coming on Thursday too! Don is also our fill/gravel supplier, so he said he would bring in some fill for the front of the house where the porch will be going.

The whole upstairs is now framed completely. Here are some pictures of what we saw Wednesday night.


I can't WAIT to get to the land tonight...although we'll likely be heading there Friday morning before work, since we're going on a date with Toon tonight to see the most recent David Lynch film "Inland Empire"...it's a 3 hour movie, which starts at 7:00 p.m. which means that we won't get out of there until at least 10, and there will be no light for us to see the house let alone take pictures. Who am I kidding...we'll likely go out there tonight anyway...
