If you check this blog regularly (which you SHOULD be doing), you're probably wondering why there haven't been any updates recently. R-A-I-N is the reason that there haven't been any updates. This weather isn't cooperating with us very well. They were supposed to have started framing the house last week, but because of this weather, nothing could be done. On May 31st, two piles of dirt were dropped off at the front of the garage area. No changes again until this past Monday (June 4th), when the dirt that was dropped off on May 31st was pushed into the garage area. We went back again on Tuesday (June 5th) and they had the floor put on. Very exciting!! Although we're now looking at the house, thinking that it's not big enough...but thinking that the basement looks really big now that they've covered it with the floor...we don't quite understand how that works out, but that's how it seems to us.
I will post pictures tonight or on Monday of what we see when we go there tonight. The wood for the framing was dropped off on Wednesday, and they were supposed to start framing yesterday...but it rained...AGAIN!! So I'm hoping that with the nice weather that we had today they were able to start some of the framing. I can't wait to get out to the house tonight!
